Product #5: Secret Outlast Clear Gel Deodorant
Retail Price: $4.59
First Impressions: This is perfect! I actually needed to and buy some deodorant! I have to say, I’m not a big fan of gel deodorant. I always feel wet after the application which I feel stains my clothes making it look like I’m sweating when I’m not! Also, this will sound strange, but I like using men’s deodorant. I feel like it’s heavier duty and the smells are made with women in mind. But I’m willing to give it a shot! I have yoga today so we’ll see what it can do. Smell: It smells a bit chemically, like a Sharpie dipped in chlorine.

Product #4: NYC Applicious Glossy Lip Balm #356- Big Apple Red
Retail Price: $2.99First Impressions: I could not have received a better color! I love red, red lips! I also live in NYC so I love to represent my city. NYC is actually one of my favorite cosmetic lines so I’m very excited to try this product. The packaging is a little impossible to remove but it is beyond cute, complete with a little apple at the center of the stick. I might go ahead and put this on right now.Smell: Chalky apples! The same sort of unavoidable lip balm smell but with a lovely hint of apples, I love it.Stay tuned for a complete review!Thank you again to @InfluensterVox and @NYCNewYorkColor

Product #3: Impress Press-On Manicure #D030 Holla!Retail Price: $5.99
First Impressions: Hmm, well I do need a new manicure but there is a bit of an issue here. I love the style of “Holla!”, the lacy nails looks beautiful. I have tried this brand of Press-On Manicure before and was not “impressed”. It claims to last up to a week but I’ve never had them stay on longer than 24 hours. That being said, I’m completely willing to try it again. Who knows? Maybe I put them on wrong in the beginning! It is a great idea. Smell: These are nails, they’ll have no smell! The lacy design looks great, they’ll go perfectly with a little black dress.

Product #2: OSIS+ Rough Rubber
Retail Price: $20First Impressions: I’m really no good at styling my hair in the least but it’s about time that I learned. This rubber paste is definitely intimidating but I’m going to watch so many tutorials that I’m bound to get it right. Everything from the packaging to the container to the actual product looks high quality. I just wish I could pronounce “Schwarzkopf”!Smell: It smells like you’re in a salon. It’s like a flowery clean scent, exactly what I wish the deodorant smelled like. I can’t stop smelling it.Stay tuned for a complete review!

Product #1: Tastykake Kandy Bar Kakes

Retail Price: $4.49 for a box

First Impressions: I want to eat it right this second. It’s made with Reese’s Peanut Butter. I’m not the biggest fan of peanut butter, at all, BUT I do love Reese’s so it has definitely perked my interest. It’s 280 calories for the whole thing, which doesn’t seem to bad. I wish the ingredients were less artificial though. I’ve never had a TastyKake before but I researched it a bit and it looks like it’s from Philadelphia, which is my dream city. However, I just looked at the side and it expires in two days. Make sure to always check expiration dates!

Smell: It smells kind of like a cake and a Reese’s peanut butter cup. Great start!

Full Review: When I opened up my TastyKake, it didn’t look much at all like it did on the packaging. In fact, the chocolate coating was completely flaking off and making a huge mess The cake, itself, also crumbled to the touch. I was first under the impression that this would be a perfect “on-the-go” type snack but I couldn’t be more wrong. My counter was covered in chocolate crumbs before I even got my treat in my mouth. The cake was just as dry to the taste as it was to the touch. It tasted very artificial and the line of the peanut butter center was hardly noticeable and got completely lost- again, very contrasting to the advertising on the packaging. Other reviews suggested that the product be refrigerated before consumption but the snack left me so thirsty and unsatisfied, I’m  not sure the temperature would be able to work a miracle. It was a bit of a let down for me. Tastykake tasted a lot like a bad combination of Hostess and Little Debbie- which aren’t that high of a standard in the first place. I would recommend that Tastykake aim for a  moist, delicious cake like Betty Crocker to attempt and resemble with more natural ingredients which wouldn’t give such a chemical taste. Or perhaps a Starbucks cake pop! All in all, I thought it was a brilliant idea but not executed properly. Also, unfortunately, I looked on Tastykake’s website and they don’t sell anywhere in all of Manhattan and only select stores in Brooklyn. I couldn’t even give the another try if I wanted to!

Final: 2/5— would not buy.
